Bingo Halls & Casinos in Alberta Enter the Power Off State

The software developer behind some of the most well-known online casinos is leading the charge toward more responsible and secure gaming. SkillOnNet, in collaboration with data science experts Neccton, has released a state-of-the-art machine learning instrument for the early detection and mitigation of negative behaviors.

The new program is called Mentor, and it will be made available to all of the companies that use the SkillOnNet system. In addition to AHTI Games, Mentor may be found at Lucky Vegas, PlayOJO, Royal Bet, Slingo, and SlotsMagic.

New Ways of Thinking

Mentor was developed by Neccton in tandem with psychologists and behavioral scientists to promote safe gaming in virtual casinos. The program may monitor not only player information but also changes in player behavior and potential danger trends.

Personalized messages are provided if the program detects red flags for problem gambling or if its analysis of the player’s gaming patterns indicates that the player is at risk. These warnings are designed to encourage positive behavioral changes that will reduce potential negative outcomes.

The’motivational interviewing’ approach has been incorporated into the feedback given to gamers whose gaming behavior has been reported. The player is the focus of this counseling method, which was developed in part by William R. Miller and Stephen Rollnick. Nudge-based communications help players overcome internal conflict and gain the inspiration to make positive behavioral changes.

Exuberant over Cutting-Edge Tech

When asked about Mentor, the online casino provider’s head of compliance, Andy Andrew, said the company was excited to provide cutting-edge technology that would make gambling more secure. He elaborated on why responsible gaming is so crucial to the gaming business.

Andrew noted that he was looking forward to adopting the machine learning tool in particular, despite the sophisticated capabilities offered by the provider’s in-house products. Players who are identified as being at risk should be provided with actionable guidance by the tool. The provider’s own online casino brands and those of its white-label partners will both implement Mentor.

Mentor’s history was briefly discussed by Dr. Michael Auer, director of Neccton. He elaborated on the company’s focus on academic research as the driving force behind its work.

Dr. Auer said that in the last decade, the business had produced more research on the topic of responsible gambling and player tracking than any other company or university. He claimed the move proved the company’s commitment to responsible gaming by showing what methods do and do not work. Dr. Auer elaborated that the firm’s ever-evolving tools were based on tried-and-true practices and scholarly research.
